Kule x Forsyth
Introducing a collection of timeless design icons restored by Forsyth with fabric designed by KULE, a New York based lifestyle brand built on the perfect stripe shirt. Following a long career as a luxury childrenswear designer, CFDA member Nikki Kule launched her stripe-based collection in 2015. Sold through kule.com and some of the world's best retailers, the line has expanded to include luxe cashmere sweaters, Italian cotton shirting, sporty accessories, outerwear, and more. KULE recently introduced capsule collections for both men’s and kids.
Nikki met twin sisters Maggie and Annie Genovese of Forsyth while seeking a very special piece for her new home. After discovering Forsyth on Instagram, she imagined purchasing a sheepskin Egg Chair, but wasn’t completely sold.
She chatted with Annie, who suggested, “why don’t we recover a chair in your KULE stripes? Make the chair meaningful to you.” The partnership organically formed. “I’ve always been inspired by beautiful interiors and architecture, so home is a natural extension for me.” Nikki shared. “I love how Forsyth takes incredible vintage pieces and makes them new and fresh."
The collection is comprised of iconic mid-century design works including four Mies van der Rohe Brno Armchairs, an early Eero Saarinen Womb Chair and Ottoman, and a George Nelson for Herman Miller Platform Bench. Upholstered in custom made KULE fabric crafted in a storied Italian mill, each restored design is covered in Anche Stripe or Doppio Stripe, in navy and cream. #ForsythisFashion
