Rachel Saunders
Rachel Saunders is a multidisciplinary artist and designer born on Salt Spring Island, Canada. She currently works (and plays) with clay as her primary medium. Values such as connection, playfulness, functionality, simplicity, and sustainability are at the forefront of her process. Through her work, she aims to highlight the inherent beauty of natural materials and innovation through design through self-taught technique.
All ceramics are made in Rachel’s Vancouver Island studio, each piece crafted by hand in small batches by a dedicated team of talented women.
We are so happy to offer a curated collection of Rachel's work. The mugs offered include the Florentine, a whimsical design, and the Cozy, a big mug for big cups of tea or coffee. The Vase in Matisse Blue glaze is a very special piece. We commissioned this work after seeing a similar design on Rachel's Instagram. It's the best blue ever and in the most darling shape. We only have a few of these vases in stock.
