Sarah Espeute, Œuvres sensibles

Sarah Espeute, Œuvres sensibles

Sarah Espeute (b. 1991, Arles, France) is a self-taught artist living and working in Marseille, France. Sarah's medium is the beautiful and poetic art of embroidery, in which she applies to vintage linen and cotton fabrics. Her series of decorative objects, tablecloths, placemats, and runners, are created under the name, Œuvres sensibles, or sensitive pieces. The trompe-l’oeil embroidery "recall poetic and convivial scenes of shared meals." It is the art of every day life.

We discovered Sarah's work on Instagram (of course!) and immediately fell in love. Her designs are minimal and delicate. Each piece is so special, every piece tells a story through the artist's hand. These are things we love.
