Stephanie Massaux

Stephanie Massaux is a New York City-based mixed media artist. Through a careful yet adventurous investigation of color, texture, and layered processes, Massaux invites unpredictability into each work. She explores new techniques to deepen expression and strengthen the dialogue between hand, material, and surface. Massaux’s imagery is shaped by the interplay of the conscious and unconscious mind, the pulse of the urban environment, and the visual memories, and emotional impressions that resurface over time. Stephanie Massaux studied Fine Art at Purchase College and the School of Visual Arts. Her work is held in private collections across the US, UK, Europe, and Japan.
