Description
A beautiful pair of carved rope and tassel Napoleon III style painted armchairs.
The illusion of twisted and knotted rope is often associated with the work of the Parisian upholsterer A. M. E. Fournier, who worked at the Boulevard Beaumarchais, from 1850 onwards. Fournier was famed for his exceptional upholstered pieces.
Our master upholsterers expertly restored each chair in our zebra hide. The hides were artistically positioned on the chairs to match with the center stripes going up the front and back. Black nail heads finish each chair and modernize the entire look. My gosh! These are destined for a stunning room.
