It doesn't get much better than this! Charles and Ray Eames designed the original Compact Sofa as a built-in for their Pacific Palisades home in the 1940s. They loved the sofa so much that they decided to create a freestanding version. It was first produced in 1954 and has been in production ever since! The design is light and airy. The scale of the sofa is perfect for a tight space but it seats three people comfortably. This sofa went through a meticulous interior and exterior restoration. All new foam was added to the seat cushion and back supports. Our designers chose our favorite salt and pepper cowhide for an ultra-mod look. The hides were purposely placed in a pattern of light to dark for an uber cool ombre effect. The steel frame is black enamel and the tubular steel legs are chrome plated. Dynamite!
