A beautiful carved rope and tassel Napoleon III style armchair and ottoman. The illusion of twisted and knotted rope is often associated with the work of the Parisian upholsterer A. M. E. Fournier, who worked at the Boulevard Beaumarchais, from 1850 onwards. Fournier was famed for his exceptional upholstered pieces.
We upholstered this piece in a cotton and linen tonal cream stripe from the Summer '22 collection of our favorite, Attersee. The chair comes as a set with a matching Forsyth pouf ottoman.
