Beautiful, one-of-a-kind Shou Sugi Ban Log Side Tables from David Stine.
Shou Sugi Ban is the traditional Japanese method of wood preservation. The charred surface makes the wood fire retardant as well as resistant to rot, insects and decay. Natural splits in the wood which reveals the natural wood tones are a feature of this piece.
