Consciously craft-forward, the production of these artisanal quilts is meticulous and stratified. Made from a cotton/silk blend, works are first woven and then dyed in large vats by hand. The fabrics are then cut into pieces and hung to dry before traveling to the quilter where the natural cotton fill is inserted. From there, the process of quilting each individual design begins.
Our Tuberous pattern was first constructed as a block print and is now applied in the stitching of these quilts, the alternative approach offering the pattern a new life.
