Designed in 2026, the Vyn Chair is a beautiful dining chair comprised of a solid oak frame with front and back legs in solid bent wood. The seat and back can either be upholstered or in veneer.
About the Design: The Vyn armchair was originally designed for the 2-Star Michelin restaurant VYN by Daniel Berlin in Österlen, Sweden. The chair was so well-received that Gärsnäs put it into production immediately.
The Vyn chair in oak needed to be welcoming with an exclusive, elegant feeling, and lovely details and great comfort. Fine-dining furniture has high prerequisites. “Some guests can sit for five hours,” says designer Anton Björsing. The chair is up to it.
“I and the Gärsnäs craftsmen thought a lot about Vyn’s construction and comfort, above all the back and seat, while at the same time working to make the chair light. It needed to suit all kinds of bodies, while also being a neat and tidy design.” says Anton Björsing
The front leg upper section, near the arms, has been bent outwards to assist accessibility. It is a chair both airy and generous with loads of wood feeling; simultaneously a newcomer and a relative to the Gärsnäs family.
The way the armrests join with the legs is a thing of beauty, a wooden detail that brings joy to the eyes and fingertips; this is Vyn’s hallmark.
