We fell in love with Maggie Robertson’s ceramics when we first saw them at a local art show. After completing a Fine Art degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1997, Maggie set up her studio in St. Louis where she has established herself as a leading local artisan. Each of her ceramic pieces is hand-built and hand-painted in classic blue and white, and each is one of a kind. The Country Gentleman collection, inspired by British linen tea towels and old English ceramic mugs, depict a picturesque pastoral world of English hunt scenes and countryside living. Cool, one-of-a-kind pieces that feel like beautiful heirlooms. "I hope to conjure ideas of a hidden animal world, full of ceremony, celebration, prophecy, and providence.
